If TNA organizers want to keep the company stronger, then a wellness policy must well be established.

Having a wellness policy offers a lot of advantages not only for the organization, but for its players as well.

First, if TNA has a wellness policy, they would be able to upgrade their qualifications in looking for potential players. They would create an impression to wrestlers and promoters alike that steroids, human growth hormones and painkillers are not tolerated in the organization. Besides, they would be able to find other wrestlers with potentials rather than accepting “washed up” WWE talents, usually released from their contract due to wellness policy violation.

Another advantage that a wellness policy could bring is the credibility and respect the company could earn from its viewers. Several would want honest and clean entertainment. Other viewers even get disgusted with these drug issues.

Even several freelance wrestlers would only want to work with companies having a healthy and clean image.

Another reason, which I think is the most important one, is to protect the players’ health and wellness. It is never good to see that companies succeed in expense of their players’ health.

Finally, how many wrestlers have died in their 30s or 40s from substance abuse? Similar cases can be prevented in the future if a wellness policy is developed.

Even I have called TNA out on some of these issues but something that grinds my gears about TNA, and something that strangely no one has brought up, is that they have yet to establish a wellness policy.

As of right now, TNA has no wellness policy at all, not even one in basic form.
