Ronald J. Sales, a 46-year-old man from St. Louis, who was accused of selling steroids, has pleaded guilty.
Sales was charged last month and could possibly face a sentence of as long as 20 years in prison.
From Post-gazette.com:
Because he has had a past drug conviction, the potential sentence is doubled from 10 years to 20, and the potential fine is doubled to $1 million. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary McKeen Houghton said the government will give him a reduction in the offense level for accepting responsibility for his actions.
Mr. Sales also agreed to give up to the government $21,843 he made from illegal activity.
The accused made a statement to the U.S. District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose that he imported 40,000 units of anabolic steroids from China and Ukraine, and in 2009 and 2010 sold some of those units in Western Pennsylvania.
